Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone officially in La La Land

My GosAdd,
this is happening again. It's happening soon!

Yesterday it was confirmed that our Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are teaming up for La La Land directed by Damien Chazelle.
What was a rumor (see my previous post here) is now reality.

Summit  Entertainment officially announced yesterday:
In this modern take on the Hollywood musical from Damien Chazelle, the Academy Award-nominated writer and director of WHIPLASH, Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

Ryan and Emma are replacing Miles Teller and Emma Watson.
The shooting of the musical (yes because this will be a musical) should start in this Fall and the movie has yet a release date for the US: 15 July 2016.

This means Ryan has for sure 4 movies out between the end of 2015 and summer 2016, as we have to add La La Land to:
- The Big Short, directed by Adam McKay with Steve Carell, Marisa Tomei, Christian Bale and Brad Pitt and now filming in New Orleans, could be out by the end of the year (not that strange… The Ides of March was filmed between February and March 2011 and released in September that same year, before Drive who was shot between October and November 2010);
- Weightless, directed by the misterious Terrence Malick. In the movie also Michael Fassbender, Rooney Mara, Natalie Portman and Cate Blanchett. Recently Broad Green Ent bought the rights for the Us market and it could be out by the end of this year or the beginning of 2016 (hopefully);
- The Nice Guys, now in post production. Shot in Los Angeles earlier this year will hit Us cinemas on 20 May 2016. Directed by Shane Black, in the movie we will see Ryan acting for the first time with Russell Crowe.

That's all for now.
Have a good week end

Stay Gos
