  3. Oh, what should i say...first let me say something that had nothing to do with the movie. thank you for updating the whole cannes thing on twitter!
and then i must say something about ryan, ok its private and so, but i must say this. its just my point of view. i think he had some work done with his face, the area around his mouth and his cheeks..i recogniced this early 2013, but i was not sure...i thought he could look different because he put weight on. but now after seen him in cannes i think it is some botox filler or whatever. if this is really so, i would be very dissapointed. i hate it in general when people think they must do such things.
but this has NOTHING to do with his work. anyway i am curious than ever to see LR because 1. it polarised alot and i like it when movies do that hehehe 2. i like arthouse movies, love some work of david lynch, of refns work and the earlier work of argento. a lot of reviews said it had some similarities. BUT a big BUT: i dont like to much surrealism, less plot and weirdness, when i think of OGF or -even worse- inland empire URGH... so im in mixed feelings...and a little bit worried ;)
finally i hope it has an interesting and innovative plot (that does all to me) and -very important- that ryans does his own unique and characteristic thing. a friend of mine saw it yesterday in cannes and he said it has a few visual stunning moments but altogether it was kind of boring and a crude mix of lynch and refn and nothing more :( but we rarely have the same point of view when it comes to movies, so lets see ;)

p.s. sorry because of my bad english

    1. Hello, oh don't be sorry as my English is non that great too :-)
So, you think Ryan did some filler.. Oh Gos, personally I do think he has gained a little weight. He still has some wrinkles near his eyes and on his forehead. I refuse to think about him using such bad stuff...
I don't know Lynch as Director but I love Refn. The small clip shows a beautiful photography. So far I haven't had enough time to read in a proper way the reviews. Infact I've just printed some of them. But for what I've understand is a movie you love o you hate, just like Only God Forgives. We have to wait and see the movie for saying our own opinion. Me, I don't trust critics. I've watched Godzilla at a local cinema and honestly they all say it's a beautiful movie, I just wanted to get up and run away faster!!!

  4. :) i dont care about critics either!
and yes i think he had some work done. the cheeks yes, but its still something else, can hardly locate it. he looks different :(

  5. :) i dont care about critics either! They can give you a glimpse, a foretaste yes, but in the end its all about your own taste in movies. you dont know lynch? oh... you should watch some of his movies. lost highway or twin peaks, they are not to weird :)

and yes i think he had some work done. the cheeks! but its still something else, the lower lip, the nose..or the chin? i can hardly locate it. he looks different :(

    1. Well very few reviews are positive. Mostly it's said to be a total mess. But it's his first movie. let's see what now he will do. Everybody can make mistakes. This show us Ryan is a human being. Surely, there is no need to be so hard on him. Nobody deserves to be treated badly.

  6. im right there with you. ryan is genuinly a great guy and its sad to see whats going on.

There were so much good movies who gets negative critics and booes in Cannes. Last night i watched a movie who gets a lot of hate in cannes 2011 and i liked it. it was a controversial movie, not everyones cup of tea. i think its the same with LR.
and i think the expectations for LR and ryan as director were high. to high in my opinion.

im sure he will find his way in directing :)

    1. Yes, maybe we all were expecting too much from him as director. But anyway he did his best that's the most important thing. he tried!
